What does the postcard look like?
We can't reveal this month's design just yet — that would spoil the surprise! The design and featured artist change every month. Past postcards are available to view (and purchase as a one-time payment) in our gallery of previous postcards, available starting November 2026.
How often will I receive a postcard?
Postcards are sent every month. For one-time purchases, it's a single shipment — no recurring postcards.
When can I expect my postcard to arrive?
We're not able to provide exact delivery dates. Postcards are shipped from Japan around the 20th of each month. From that date, you can check estimated delivery times to your country on the official Japan Post website: https://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/deli_days/normal/index_en.html
What's the point of a postcard?
Because you don't need a plane ticket to start collecting a country. Each postcard is a small, tangible piece of Japan — a new artist, a new city, a new story, every single month. It's a different way to travel: not all at once, but little by little, one postcard at a time.
What's on the postcard?
The front features an original design by that month's local artist. The back includes a gotochi stamp, a real Japanese postage stamp, a short profile of the featured artist, a message in Japanese, and your shipping address.
Can I get a blank postcard?
Yes — if you'd like a clean postcard (for example, to gift or mail yourself), simply select the envelope option at checkout. This adds a $1.99 fee per envelope (e.g. $5.97 for a 3-month plan = 3 envelopes).
