Details
Senpai Snail Mail is a monthly postcard subscription. Each month, subscribers receive one original postcard designed by a local Japanese artist, sent from Japan.
What's included each month
- One original postcard design, created by a different Japanese artist
- A short note about the artist and the story behind the design
- A real Japanese postage stamp
- A postmark from the city or region the postcard was sent from
Envelope option
By default, postcards are sent as-is: the address, stamp, and postmark appear directly on the postcard, as with traditional mail. If you'd prefer to keep your postcard completely clean, you can add an envelope at checkout — with an envelope, the postcard itself stays free of any writing, stamps, or markings, and all of that goes on the envelope instead.
How billing works
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can view your plan, upcoming charges, and cancel anytime from your account.
⚠️ Billing vs. delivery for 3-Month and 1-Year plans
For the 3-Month and 1-Year plans, billing and delivery happen on different schedules. You're charged once for the full period (every 3 months, or once a year), but your postcard is still mailed every month. For example, on the 1-Year plan, you pay once but receive 12 postcards over the year — one each month.
One-time purchases
A single postcard can also be purchased without a subscription.
Shipping
Postcards are shipped from Japan. International shipping times vary by destination and are outside our direct control. For an estimated delivery time to your country, you can check the Japan Post website directly.
We like to think that waiting for your postcard should feel like waiting for a love letter. Check your mailbox with a little excitement each day. You never know when a small piece of joy will arrive.
Shipping address
Your postcard is sent to the address you provide at checkout. If you're sending it as a gift, simply enter the recipient's address instead of your own.
